Sete Gibernau-125ccm
Although he was surrounded by motorcycles for his whole life, Sete Gibernau started racing at age of 19, when he entered Spanish 125cc Production Racing championship and Catalan championship, and won both titles in the same year in junior category. In Year 1992 Sete Gibernau was second in 125cc Spanish Gilera Championship.
Sete Gibernau-250ccm
Sete Gibernau Entered European 250ccm championship in year 1992. In year 1993, he was third in the Spanish 250ccm Championship on Yamaha, and in the same year he had wild card entry in world 250ccm racing championship on Spanish GP. In following two years, Gibernau raced in Spanish 250ccm championship, and finished seasons as fifth and third, respectively. Sete Gibernau entered world 250ccm racing championship full time in 1996, when he started on Honda, and switch to Rainey Yamaha in closing stages of championship. He finished this season in 22nd place.
Sete Gibernau-500ccm
Sete Gibernau started his 500ccm world championship racing career in 1997 in Rainey Yamaha team, and finished 13th in general standings. Following year saw him move to Factory Honda team, and finishing season in 11th place. In the year 1999, Gibernau continues to ride for Factory Honda, and takes fifth position in championship standings. In year 2000, Sete Gibernau was Repsol Honda rider, and finishes season in 15th place, deciding to move to Team Telefonica Movistar Suzuki for year 2001, where he finished 9th in championship standings. In This year Gibernau takes his first ever Moto GP victory at the Valencian Grand Prix.
Sete Gibernau-MotoGP
Sete Gibernay entered new MotoGP class with Suzuki four stroke in year 2002, and had no much success in his first season, finishing 15th overall. In Year 2003 Sete Gibernau returns to Honda, with Telefonica MoviStar Honda Gresini team, and immediately shows impressive performance by finishing this season in second place. In this season he took four first places. After this great season, Sete Gibernau became one of main title pretenders for 2004 MotoGP season and currently he is second in championship standings, 29 points behind Rossi.
